Man United to table £40m for Juventus star Arturo Vidal
The Dutchman Louis Van Gaal is ready to take charge of his first Premier League season with Manchester United, who is keen to bring in some new players in order to bolster his squad ahead of next season.
The Red Devils have already secured the services of Ander Herrera and Luke Shaw to Old Trafford and it looks more players set to follow them at the theatre of dreams – with recent reports have suggested that United are ready to offer £40m for Juventus star Arturo Vidal to make the move to Old Trafford.
The Chile international is the sort of player that United are looking – the box-to-box midfielder, who protect the defence and helping out with the goalscoring too.
The report claims, Juventus director Pavel Nedved has insisted that the Italian club would consider selling Vidal only if the club receive a huge bid for 27-year-old’ signature.
“Certainly, if there were a high bid for them, we’d have to think about it but we don’t want to sell our champions,” said Nedved.
Vidal has been one of the key members at Turin since joining from Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, scoring 11 goals in 32 Serie A games last season.
