Gunners eye PSG midfielder Marco Verratti

Reports in Metro suggest Arsenal are considering a £17m summer move for Paris St Germain midfielder Marco Veratti.

Verratti, 21, has been a regular for manager Laurent Blanc’s first-team this term, but without scoring a single goal in 50 appearances since he joined in 2012, it’s understood the French champions may be willing to cash in this summer.

The Gunners are said to be interested to bolster their midfield department and Veratti has been identified as the good option at the Emirates, who is currently under contract at Parc des Princes until 2018.

But, according to reports in Tuttomercatoweb, the north Londoners are likely to make an £17million offer to convince the Ligue 1 leaders to sell in order to bring the Italy international to the Emirates Stadium in the summer transfer window.

However, it remains unclear if the Parisians are willing to cash in on midfielder at the end of the season.
