Loic Remy wants to join the Gunners
Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy is reportedly desperate to join Arsenal this summer, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.
The Frenchman has been strongly linked with the Gunners since his time in Marseille, who spent his last season on loan at Newcastle United scoring 14 league goals in 24 starts.
It is understood, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be handed £100m transfer funds to splash the cash for this summer and he is believed to be keen on the 27-year-old as he looks to bolster his strike-force ahead of next season.
Reports suggest that the striker wants to join Arsenal for the Champions League, who has a £10m buy-out clause in his QPR’s contract – which is quite economical choice for Wenger.
Remy is currently serving his international duty with France World Cup squad, where he will use World Cup as a platform to attract potential suitors this summer.
“The World Cup is a way of putting myself on display. Newcastle want to hire me but I don’t know if I will stay there,” Remy said.
“This has been a turning point in my career, a year of transition. Since the turn of the year everything has been okay and when I am fully fit I believe I can hurt opponents.”
“During the World Cup I could be a good surprise. At every World Cup and Euro there are players that you don’t expect who really impress,” he added.
Remy’s arrival will surely bring some boost to the Gunners ahead of next season.
