His tweet reads: “The possibility of Juan Fernando Quintero to play for Arsenal is real. He will fly to London on Monday.”
Rory Smith of The Times has also claimed,
Reports from Colombia – brought to you by my favourite Wiganer, @cworswick – that Juan Fernando Quintero is on his way to Arsenal. — Rory Smith (@RorySmithTimes) July 31, 2014
The 21-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best attacking midfielders in the Primeira Liga, who joined FC Porto from Atletico Nacional in 2013 following a year-long loan spell with Italian side Pescara. He has made 22 Portuguese league appearances for Porto last season.
Meanwhile – The Mirror says the Colombian international is thought to be worth around £16 million.
Assuming – Quintero is joining Arsenal, then he’d be yet another great signing by Wenger. The attacking midfielder is capable of playing on the left wing and is known for his superb pace and skill.
