Jose Mourinho confirms Eden Hazard to get bumper 50 million pounds deal
Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that the Belgian ace Eden Hazard is poised to sign a £50million five-year contract extension, according to The Express.
The 23-year-old forward still has three years left on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and Mourinho confident that Hazard will commit his long-term future to the Premier League club worth a staggering £200,000 a week, that would make him the highest paid player at Chelsea.
“We have big hopes that he will go from the top player he is at this moment and to reach higher levels, to become one of the best,” the Portuguese told reporters.
“He is a player we want to keep. It’s true Chelsea are trying to have an agreement with him over a new contract, and that he wants to stay. It’s a question of time. One more month, he’ll have a new contract.”
Hazard has established himself as one of the key players at the Blues, scoring 34 goals in 114 appearances, since he joined the club from French outfit Lille in 2012.
