Twitter reacts as Barcelona clinch La Liga title

Barcelona have won their 23rd Spanish Primera Division title on Sunday evening with a 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, thanks to a second-half goal from Lionel Messi.

The Argentine striker scored the only goal at the Estadio Vicente Calderon to seal their club status as Spanish champions in style with one match-day left to play.

The Blaugrana could add two more titles to their grade before the conclusion of the season with the Copa del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao and the Champions League final against Juventus to play.

The victory brings Barcelona four points clear of Real Madrid with a game to spare, while Atletico stay third in the league table.
