Wojciech Szczesny confirms Emirates exit
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is all set to make a loan move to Italian giants AS Roma.
The Poland international confirmed his departure by uploading a video on his Instagram account. He announced that he is on his way to the Eternal City to become a Roma player.
“Good evening, Giallorossi supporters, I am very happy because tomorrow I go to Rome. See you then,” the 25-year-old said in the video on his Instagram.
With Gunners having signed Petr Cech from Chelsea this summer – Szczesny chances of playing for Wenger this season have been reduced, having already lost the No. one spot to Colombian David Ospina last season.
The North Londoners supporters will unlikely to be upset about Szczesny’s exit having a bit of a liability.
Szczesny is expected to return to Arsenal after spending a loan spell with the Giallorossi and will battle for his place at the Emirates.
