Liverpool confirm Jurgen Klopp as new head coach
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as Liverpool’s new boss.
The 48-year-old German tactician has signed a three-year contract with the Reds to succeed Brendan Rodgers, who was sacked on Sunday, 4th October after a 1-1 Merseyside derby draw at Everton.
The German coach will be officially unveiled on Friday morning during the club’s press conference.

The Merseyside club wrote via their official Twitter account: “Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce Jurgen Klopp has been appointed as the club’s new manager.”
“The German coach has signed a deal to take the helm at the Reds and will be presented at a press conference at Anfield on Friday morning.”
Klopp has been out of his managerial job since leaving his post at Dortmund at the end of the 2014-15 season, where he guided them two back-to-back German league titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12 and a UEFA Champions League final in 2013.
Klopp as a new manager will resume Liverpool’s Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on 17 October.
