Manchester City to join Arsenal for Benfica ace Alex Grimaldo?
Manchester City have reportedly outlined their intentions to move for Benfica star Alex Grimaldo at the end of the season.
The City are thought to be in the transfer market for a new left-back due to concerns over Benjamin Mendy, who has made just 13 Premier League games since joining the Premier League giants in July 2017.
The 23-year-old has emerged as a possible target for the Citizen, having supposedly been scouted up close by club management in recent weeks.
Mundo Deportivo reports that the Spain Under-21s international, who scored four times and registered five assists in the Portuguese top flight this term, has caught the attention of English champions.
Arsenal have also been strongly linked with the left-back, who emerged through Barcelona’s academy before joining the Portuguese giants in 2016, while Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Inter Milan are also said to be possible options.
Grimaldo has scored in every four games for Benfica.
