Atletico Madrid weighing up move for Christian Pulisic?
Atletico Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic during the upcoming summer transfer window.
Despite scoring 26 goals and providing 21 assists in 136 appearances since his arrival in 2019, the United States international has struggled to secure a consistent spot in the starting lineup.
He has only started eight out of 21 competitive games this season and suffered an injury during the defeat against Fulham last month after registering one goal and two assists.
With only 18 months remaining in his contract, a recent report suggests that Pulisic might be among several players allowed to leave the club this summer.
Chelsea have spent more than £600m in the last two transfer windows. Eight players were signed in the previous month, including Enzo Fernandez. After these acquisitions, the Blues are planning to reduce the squad size in the summer, and Pulisic is expected to be among the players leaving Stamford Bridge.
According to Fichajes, Los Rojiblancos are interested in signing the American by the end of this season.
The 24-year-old is reportedly open to leaving Chelsea, especially with the arrivals of Noni Madueke and Mykhaylo Mudryk pushing him further down the pecking order.
However, Pulisic won’t be playing against his former club, Borussia Dortmund, due to an injury, as Chelsea prepares to face them in the Champions League on Tuesday.
