Chelsea identify Cengiz Under as summer target
Chelsea have reportedly identified AS Roma Cengiz Under as a potential signing this summer, according to reports in the Turkish media as quoted by The Sun.
The Blues are considering a move to sign the 21-year-old midfielder if Eden Hazard leaves this the Stamford Bridge this summer.
The west London outfit have “earmarked” Cengiz as a potential replacement for Hazard should the Belgian leave the club this summer.
The report adds that Manchester United have also been linked with a move for Roma winger Cengiz Under, who joined the Italian outfit for £12m from Turkish club Basaksehir in 2017.
The Turkey international is under contract at Giallorossi until 2022 but according to the aforementioned report, the Serie A side could be open to selling him for a fee of at least £44m.
Under has been consistent for Roma this term, scoring three times and making five assists in 18 Serie A appearances for the Italian outfit.
