Chelsea to table surprise move for Cameroonian midfielder
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly plotting a sensational summer move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song.
The 27-year-old, who is currently serving his loan spell at West Ham for this season having failed to make an impact at the Camp Nou since his move to the Catalan club in 2012.
Other Premier League clubs, Manchester City and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the Cameroonian this summer, with West Ham reportedly might not be able to make his loan deal permanent.
The midfielder has featured in the Champions League and would be seen as a backup for Nemanja Matic at the Stamford Bridge.
A move to the west London club is an ideal choice for Song, as he could play in Champions League next season.
The Premier League leaders are now six points ahead of Manchester City, with a game in hand and remain the favourites to win the Premier League title in May.
Song has made 22 appearances for the Hammers this season, is desperate to remain in London.
