Gunners to launch £46m for Karim Benzema

Arsenal are reportedly set to launch a £46 million bid for Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, according to reports in Spanish paper AS.

The Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move to the north London club this summer, despite the 27-year-old’s agent ruling out his transfer.

However, the report has suggested Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is keen to push ahead with a move for a striker in order to secure the France international’s signature.

Earlier this week, the striker fuelled speculation about his future move on Instagram post that he was ready to switch the club.

Benzema scored 22 goals in 46 appearances for Los Blancos last season.
