Reds target £50m for French forward Karim Benzema
Liverpool are reportedly planning to capture the service of Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema in January transfer window in order to solve their striker crisis, reports the Express.
The Reds manager Brendan Rodgers is willing sanction whooping £50 million bid for the 26-year-old striker when the transfer window reopens in January.
Liverpool strike-force has struggled for goals including Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini, who have failed to make an impact this season so far with the report has suggested that Rodgers sees Benzema as the answer to his problems in this department.
There is much speculations around Spain that the Frenchman is likely to leave the Spanish capital in the near future, with Arsenal his possible destination.
Benzema has scored 125 goals in 258 appearances for the Real since joining the club from Lyon in 2009.
