Manchester City to table £30m for Southampton Defender Luke Shaw
Manchester City are reportedly planning to sign Southampton left-back Luke Shaw in summer, according to Goal.
The 18-year-old wonder kid has been in finest form for the Saints in this Premier League’s term, helped his side to secure a top half position and earned a place in the England senior side for the first time.
It is understood, there are three big premier league clubs with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United and Tottenham are also interested in Shaw’s services but the recent reports have suggested that the Citizens are ready to table massive £30m cash for the teenager.
The City boss Manuel Pellegrini was linked with Shaw in January, and once again the Chilean is now ready to spend huge cash to lure the talented fullback to the Etihad Stadium once the transfer window re-opens.
Shaw is seen as the ideal long-term left-back option, with both Gael Clichy and Aleksandar Kolarov failed to impress Pellegrini this season.
It would be an interesting to see whether Shaw leaves or stays at St.Mary’s this summer.
