Manchester United to re-sign veteran defender Patrice Evra?

With the January transfer window fast approaching, the latest report has suggested that the former Manchester United defender Patrice Evra looks set to make a shock return to Old Trafford.

The 33-year-old hasn’t been a regular and struggling to settle in Turin since he joined the Serie A outfit Juventus in July from the Red Devils, who has only made eight appearances for the Bianconeri.

According to reports cited by Daily Star, the Frenchman is unhappy with his lack of football with the Italian champions – as a result it has prompted United boss Louis van Gaal to make an enquiry over his availability in order to aid current defensive injury crisis.

During his eight glorious years at the English giants – Evra was one of the club’s finest defenders of the last few years, who won five Premier League titles and a Champions League with amassed over 350 appearances.
