Real Madrid interested in Manuel Locatelli

Real Madrid have reportedly made an approach to sign Juventus midfielder Manuel Locatelli in the January transfer window.

According to Calciomercatoweb, Los Blancos are lining up a swoop for the Italy international in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old midfielder went from strength to strength at Sassuolo before joining the Old Lady on a two-year loan deal 18 months ago.

He has made 65 appearances for the Bianconeri, contributing three goals and five assists, but his future is now being called into question amid Juventus’s recent controversy.

The Spanish champions will look to sign at least one new midfielder in the summer. With several midfielders, including Manuel Locatelli, have emerged on Madrid’s radar.

The report adds, Real Madrid will offer Dani Ceballos in a part-exchange deal to land Locatelli this month.

It will be interesting to see if the Bernabeu outfit can somehow get a deal for Locatelli over the line.
