The 29-year-old forward joined the Blues from Queens Park Rangers in 2014 but has struggled to make an impact at the Stamford Bridge, featuring ten times for the west Londoners in the Premier League this season, as most of them coming as a substitute.
The report claims, the Premier League leaders attempted to secure the services of Frenchman on a loan deal until the end of the season, but were told by Chelsea that they listen offer only a permanent move.
The Foxes have been in the transfer market for yet another world class striker as a backup option to their star players Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez following the exit of Andrej Kramaric to Hoffenheim on loan deal.
Meanwhile the number of English clubs with the likes of Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Manchester City had also been interested in Remy’s services, who scored 12 goals in 42 appearances for the defending champions since his arrival.
