Spurs Eye Athletic Bilbao Striker Iker Muniain

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a January move for striker Iker Muniain from Spanish club Athletic Bilbao, according to reports from Sports Direct News.

Tottenham Head Coach, Tim Sherwood is keen to secure a big arrival before the January transfer window passes on Friday, and the 21-year-old striker is considered to be an ideal option at White Hart Lane.

The Spain international has been one of La Liga’s highly rated young prospects, established himself as a key player in their chase to the 2012 Europa League final.

Muniain has struggled to find his impressive form, has scored three goals and three assists in 18 league appearances this season so far.

Despite his release clause of £30m – Muniain is also said to be on the radar of Liverpool but Spurs are quite confident of sealing a deal to bring the starlet at White Hart Lane for around £18m.
