The Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo became the Champions League’s all-time leading goalscorer after the Portuguese striker scored a hat-trick during his side’s 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 30-year-old moved three goals ahead of Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi after scoring a hat-trick against Ukrainian side Donetsk on Tuesday evening.
Ronaldo is now just two goals away from equalling Raul’s record as Madrid’s all-time leading goal-scorer.
